Prepoznavanje operacijskega sistema lahko izvedete z jezikom Python ali Basic.

LibreOffice Basicu manjka domorodno prepoznavanje macOS, medtem ko je lastnost ComputerName na voljo le v okoljih Windows. Klici Basica na makre Python pomagajo pri premoščanju takšnih omejitev.

Uporaba razrednega modula Basic:
