V programe LibreOffice Calc je možné vykonávať výpočty s dátumom a časovými údajmi. Napríklad na zistenie vášho veku v sekundách alebo hodinách urobte následujúce kroky:
Do bunky A1 zošitu zadajte dátum vášho narodenia.
Enter the following formula in cell A3: =NOW()-A1
Po stlačení klávesy Enter sa výsledok zobrazí vo formáte dátumu. Pretože výsledok má byť rozdiel vyjadrený počtom dní, musíte bunku A3 sformátovať ako číslo.
Nastavte kurzor do bunky A3, kliknite pravým tlačidlom myši a z miestneho menu vyberte Formát buniek.
The dialog appears. On the tab, the "Number" category will appear already highlighted. The format is set to "General", which causes the result of a calculation containing date entries to be displayed as a date. To display the result as a number, set the number format to "-1,234" and close the dialog with the button.
V bunke A3 je zobrazený počet dní medzi dnešným a zadaným dátumom.
Možné je vyskúšať ďalšie vzorce: zadaním vzorca =A3*24 do bunky A4 vypočítate počet hodín, zadaním vzorca =A4*60 do bunky A5 vypočítate počet minút a ak zadáte do bunky A6 vzorec =A5*60, vypočítate počet sekúnd. Po každom zadaní vzorca stlačte klávesu Enter.
The time since your date of birth will be calculated and displayed in the various units. The values are calculated as of the exact moment when you entered the last formula and pressed the Enter key. This value is not automatically updated, although "Now" continuously changes. In the Data menu, the menu item Calculate - AutoCalculate is normally active; however, automatic calculation does not apply to the function NOW. This ensures that your computer is not solely occupied with updating the sheet.
