Inserting, Editing, and Linking Frames

A frame is a container for text and graphics that you can place anywhere on a page. You can also use a frame to apply a column layout to text.

To Insert a Frame

1. Barruu isa akka goodayyaa keessatti dabalamu barbaadduu fili.

2. Choose Insert - Frame - Frame.

To Edit a Frame

• To edit the contents of a frame, click in the frame, and make the changes that you want.

• To edit a frame, select the frame, right-click, and then choose a formatting option. You can also right-click the selected frame, and choose Frame.

• To resize a frame, click an edge of the frame, and drag one of the edges or corners of the frame. Hold down Shift while you drag to maintain the proportion of the frame.

Barruu Maxxansaa Irraa Dhoksuu.

Any Writer frame can be set to a mode which allows viewing the text on screen, but hides the text from printing.

1. Select the frame (you see the eight handles).

2. Choose Format - Frame and Object - Properties - Options.

3. In the Properties area, uncheck the Print check box and click OK.

To Link Frames

You can link Writer frames so that their contents automatically flow from one frame to another.

1. Qaree goodayyaa isa akka walqabatu barbaaddu cuqaasi. Qabannoowwanii filannoo, qaree goodayyiichaa irratti mul'ata.

2. On the Frame bar, click the Link Frames icon.

3. Goodayyaa isa itti walqabsiissuu barbaadduu cuqaasi.

Goodayyaawwan walqabsiissuu kan dandeessuu, yoo tahe qofa:

• Goodayyaan galtee duwwaadha.

• Goodayyaan galtee, goodayyaa ka biroodhaan wal-hinqabane.

• Maddaa fi goodayyaawwanii galtee kutaa tokko keessa jiru. Fakkeenyaaf, goodayyaa irraantoo, goodayyaa jalaantootti walqabsiissuu hindandeessu.

• Goodayyaan maddaa, walqabsiissaa itti aanuu hinqabu.

• Galteen yk goodayyaan maddaa wal keessa hingalan.

Goodayyaa walqabatee yammuu filatuu, sarara isa goodayyaawwan walqabatan walindhutu mul'ata.
