Filter Selection

Allows you to select an import filter.

To access this command...

Open a file of a type that is unknown to LibreOffice and that is no text file.

Filter list

Select the import filter for the file that you want to open.

If LibreOffice does not recognise the file type of the document that your want to open, try any of the following:

Select the import filter from the list.
Ensure that the file extension corresponds to the file type of the document. For example, a Microsoft Word document must have a *.doc or *.docx extension for LibreOffice to use the appropriate filter.
