Data Series

Use this to change the properties of a selected data series. This dialogue box appears when one data series is selected and you choose Format - Format Selection. Some of the menu entries are only available for 2-D or 3-D charts.

Any changes made here affect the entire data series. For example, if you change the colour, all elements belonging to this data series will change colour.

To access this command...

Choose Format - Format Selection - Data Series dialogue box (Charts)

Line

Set the formatting options for the selected line or the line that you want to draw. You can also add arrowheads to a line, or change chart symbols.

Area (Background, Highlighting)

Set the fill options for the selected drawing object or document element.

Transparency

Set the transparency options for the fill that you apply to the selected object.

Specify the formatting and the font that you want to apply.

Data Labels

Opens the Data Labels dialogue box, which enables you to set the data labels.

y-Error Bars

Use the x- or y-Error Bars dialogue box to display error bars for 2-D charts.

Options

Use this dialogue box to define some options that are available for specific chart types. The contents of the Options dialogue box vary with the chart type.

Reset

Resets changes made to the current tab to those applicable when this dialogue box was opened.
