Characters at line end

Introduïu el nombre mínim de caràcters que s'ha de deixar al final de la línia davant del guionet.

Compound constituent characters at line end

Set 3 (or more) characters to improve the hyphenation in Danish, Dutch, German, Hungarian, Norwegian and Swedish by preferring the hyphenation between constituents of a compound word instead of breaking the second (third etc.) constituent right after its first 2 characters.

Maximum consecutive hyphenated lines

Hyphenation zone

Per a reduir la partició de mots, introduïu la grandària de la zona de partició. En lloc d'aplicar la partició possible, la línia es partirà entre les paraules, si l'espai horitzontal restant no sobrepassa la zona de partició. La zona de partició produeix majors espais entre paraules en textos justificats o majors distàncies des dels marges del paràgraf en textos no justificats.

Hyphenate words in CAPS

Hyphenate words written entirely in capital letters, such as initialisms.

Hyphenate last word

Hyphenate the last word of paragraphs. Disabling this feature prevents the creation of almost empty lines containing only half a word.

Hyphenation across

Control hyphenation in the last line of a column, page or spread, and last full line of a paragraph, according to certain typographical rules to improve readability.

Last full line of paragraph

Deselect this check box to prevent last full line of a paragraph from being hyphenated. The hyphenated word is moved to the next line if there is enough space for it. As a result, the last line of the paragraph becomes longer, reducing the blank space between paragraphs.

Column

Deselect this check box to prevent words from being hyphenated across a column, linked frame or page. The hyphenated word is moved to the next column, frame or page.

Page

Deselect this check box to prevent words from being hyphenated across a page. The hyphenated word is moved to the next page.

Spread

Deselect this check box to prevent words from being hyphenated across a spread. (A spread is a set of two pages that are visible to the reader at the same time.) The hyphenated word is moved to the next spread.

Paragraph end zone

To set a hyphenation zone for the last full line of paragraphs, enter its length. If set to 0, the hyphenation zone will be applied as paragraph end zone.

Column end zone

To set a hyphenation zone for the last line of columns, enter its length. The column end zone improves the readability across column or linked text frame. If set to 0, the paragraph end zone will be applied as column end zone.

Page end zone

To set a hyphenation zone for the last line of pages, enter its length. The page end zone improves the readability across page. If set to 0, the column end zone will be applied as page end zone.

Spread end zone

To set a hyphenation zone for the last line of spreads, enter its length. The spread end zone improves the readability when turning a page. Selecting a value that is four times the font size will prevent hyphenating 7-8 letter words or shorter. It will also avoid breaking longer words at their first 4-5 letters or earlier. If set to 0, the page end zone will be applied as spread end zone.

Move Line

Select this check box to move the entire hyphenated line to the next column, page or spread, instead of moving only its last hyphenated word. Only the last line is moved when there are consecutive hyphenated lines, i.e. this setting does not guarantee that hyphenation will be disabled at the end of columns or pages.

Salts

Insereix

Activeu esta casella de selecció i, a continuació, seleccioneu el tipus de salt que voleu utilitzar.

Número de pàgina

Introduïu el número de la pàgina que hi ha immediatament després del salt. Si voleu que continue la numeració de pàgines actual, deixeu desactivada la casella.

Opcions

Especifiqueu les opcions de flux de text per als paràgrafs que apareixen abans i després del salt de pàgina.

No partisques el paràgraf

Desplaça tot el paràgraf a la pàgina o a la columna següent després d'inserir un salt.

Mantén els paràgrafs junts

Manté el paràgraf actual i el paràgraf següent junts quan s'insereix un salt o un salt de columna.

Control de línies òrfenes

Especifica el nombre mínim de línies d'un paràgraf abans d'un salt de pàgina. Activeu esta casella de selecció i, a continuació, introduïu un nombre en el quadre Línies. Si el nombre de línies del final de la pàgina és inferior a la quantitat que s'ha especificat en el quadre Línies, el paràgraf es desplaçarà a la pàgina següent.

Control de línies vídues

Especifica el nombre mínim de línies d'un paràgraf de la primera pàgina posterior al salt. Activeu esta casella de selecció i, a continuació, introduïu un nombre en el quadre Línies. Si el nombre de línies del començament de la pàgina és inferior a la quantitat que s'ha especificat en el quadre Línies, s'ajustarà la posició del salt.
